A coaxial attenuator is an RF microwave device that dissipates energy. By selecting resistive materials with different attenuation values, attenuators with various attenuation values and power ratings can be realized. In addition to the commonly used fixed resistive attenuators, there are also adjustable attenuators. They feature a wide operating frequency range, low voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), flat attenuation, and strong anti-burning capability.
